Vendor markets the Glass Ceramic Matrix Composite basket specifically for combined corrosion-AND-abrasion service (seawater, scrubber systems) — most strainer materials address one failure mode or the other, so a single-property material choice (e.g. PVDF for corrosion alone) risks abrasive wear failure in seawater scrubber duty.
