Asahi's design is declutching — manual override disengages the motor from the output gearing before hand-cycling. Non-declutching designs used by some other manufacturers instead wind the motor backwards during manual override, "often times damaging the windings and armature" — a real reliability failure mode worth checking before swapping actuator brands on an existing water-treatment valve.
Series 92 is the only Asahi electric actuator line with full hazardous-location certification (NEMA 7, UL1203 Class 1 Div 1&2, ATEX) — the right call isn't 'an actuator,' it's matching the enclosure rating to whatever classified area the valve sits in, something a generic torque-only spec sheet won't flag.
