New 3-Inch Plastic AODD

FTI Air FT30P: 300 gpm from a 140 lb polypropylene air diaphragm pump

The FT30P is FTI Air's 3-inch non-metallic air-operated double diaphragm pump, launched March 2026: polypropylene wetted parts, 300 gpm at 120 psi inlet air, 0.5-inch solids, 28 ft wet suction lift, and a stainless-steel air valve with no separate pilot valve. At about 140 lb it is a high-flow chemical diaphragm pump that two people can still set on a skid.

Sizing an air operated diaphragm pump starts with the curve, not the max-flow number. Our free diaphragm pump sizing calculator places your flow and head on the FT30P curve. If a pump you already have stalls or won't prime, see diaphragm pump troubleshooting. New to AODDs? Watch how an air operated double diaphragm pump works (6-minute video with diagrams).

Electric Diaphragm Option

No compressed air? The 3-inch Graco QUANTM i230

The QUANTM i230 is Graco's 3-inch electric double diaphragm pump: 230 gpm free flow, 100 psi, 3/8-inch solids and 3-inch ANSI flanges, driven by a motor on 380–480 V three-phase power instead of plant air. It still stalls under pressure and runs dry like an AODD.

It fits long-running transfer duties where the compressor bill is the problem. It does not fit hazardous areas (non-hazardous only), fluids that attack aluminum, or single-phase power. Run your duty through the calculator to see the energy difference before you choose.
