Iwaki America

Iwaki America Corporation is a joint venture that grew from a long-standing association between Walchem Corporation and Iwaki Co., Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan — combining Walchem's chemical injection and control experience with Iwaki's pump design engineering. Iwaki America designs, manufactures, and distributes the Walchem line of water treatment controllers alongside its own Iwaki-brand pumps, which is why a Walchem-branded product like the IX Series metering pump appears in Iwaki America's own product line.

A magnetic drive design eliminates the rotating shaft seal found in conventional centrifugal pumps, coupling the motor to the impeller through a magnetic field instead — this removes the most common leak path in chemical transfer service and makes the pump self-priming for industrial fluid movement applications.

The EWN-Y's digital interface can report and accept setpoint control over a network connection, so dosing rate, total volume, stroke count, and power-on time can be monitored or adjusted without a technician standing at the pump — the same operating-history data the pump stores internally for validation.
